(McMinnville, OR, April 23, 2015) - Today, TTR announced the release of new tax answers for the manufacturing industry.

TTR, the leading supplier of tax answers to some of the largest manufacturing companies in the U.S., has announced the addition of over 600 tax answers to its manufacturing library.

Industry leaders asked TTR for tax answers that no one else addressed: plant safety. TTR responded by researching the taxability of safety clothing and equipment items used in manufacturing.

Safety equipment used in manufacturing is a complex tax research topic. To get an accurate tax answer across all states, multiple questions have to be answered. Is the equipment attached or not attached to manufacturing machinery? Can the machinery operate without the safety equipment? Is the equipment required by state or federal law?

Next was the complexity associated with safety clothing items, and the research involved in determining if the items qualified for general clothing exemptions or manufacturing supply exemptions.

Armed with the right questions, TTR researched each possible combination of answers and is now proud to announce TTR's manufacturing safety library.

For the first time ever, manufacturing tax and accounting professionals have access to over 600 tax answers for plant safety, across all states, resulting in a simplified tax research process saving many hours of valuable research time.
