(McMinnville, OR, October 8, 2014) Transaction Tax Resources, Inc. (TTR), the leading provider of sales and use tax answers, announces the release of sales and use tax Local Overviews for all states.

Sales and use tax can be taxing. Even more so at the local level - counties, parishes, cities, special taxing districts, and more. Local level sales and use tax significantly increases the volume of tax answers that must be known to conduct business.

Many states allow their counties, cities, and districts to set their own tax answers, which are often different than state-level tax answers. Simply put, sales that are exempt from state tax might be taxable at the local level. With tens of thousands of localities, this can be scary.

Tax professionals are then forced to spend long hours researching local tax answers in each state. Since there are no local level research tools, much of this research is done by phone or internet and using the handful of available ordinances.

TTR solved this problem by creating Local Overviews and Local Level Tax Answers for every state.

"It has always been our goal to help companies with the tax rules for all states, counties, parishes, cities, and districts. We knew it was a monumental task, but we were driven by the value this would provide to our clients. Having now completed it, we're very proud to offer this time-saving and audit risk reduction tool to our valued subscribers" - Ken Webster, Head of Research at TTR.

Now, with a few simple clicks, any TTR subscriber can use Local Overviews to determine if a local-level government has sales and use tax rules that are different from the state's sales and use tax rules. The expanded Local Level Tax Answers provides a deep dive into exact tax answers for every product and service - everywhere.
