(McMinnville, OR, June 5, 2014) Transaction Tax Resources, Inc. (TTR), the leading provider of accurate sales and use tax answers to 40% of the Global 1000 companies, announces the release of sales tax nexus overviews for all states. These overviews discuss each state's rules on establishing nexus for sales tax purposes, making it easy to determine whether your company has sales tax collection and remittance responsibilities in each state.

"Nexus" means a link or connection. If you are determined to have nexus in a state, then you are subject to that state's sales and use tax rules and must collect and remit sales tax to the state. This is known as a "filing obligation." Each state has different rules surrounding nexus. TTR subscribers may simply navigate from state to state to access plain-English explanations of the events that trigger nexus in each state, saving hours of legal research time.

"TTR's mission is to help companies collect and remit the correct amount of sales and use tax to each state. If you really look at it, every tax department just wants to pay the correct amount of tax, and every state wants that too. Nexus overviews are just another of the many tools TTR provides to help companies do exactly that." -- Anthony DiRocco, Manager of Content
