(McMinnville, OR, April 8, 2014) Transaction Tax Resources, Inc. (TTR) has quadrupled the number of sales and use tax answers available on their website in the area of coupons, rebates, and other types of price reductions. Items added as a part of this new content include retailer coupons and rebates, manufacturer coupons and rebates, cash discounts and allowances, and trade-in credits (for both automobiles as well as general merchandise).

Unlike competitors' offerings, TTR provides tax answers for items across all states, regardless of whether a state specifically addresses a particular item in a statute or regulation. TTR does this by beginning with the items to be researched (products, services, discounts, etc.), instead of just looking at a state's laws or administrative guidance to see which products and services are specifically covered. This process ensures that TTR's answers are the most complete and accurate in the industry.

"Researching coupons, rebates and similar price reductions can be challenging because states tax them differently. Some don't specifically mention them at all. Tax professionals want tax answers with full support to ensure that our guidance is what they need. This is why TTR is here - to provide quick to find, easy to understand, and fully supported tax answers and legal back up." - Alex Bowling, CTO.

As with all of TTR's answers, these items and tax answers can be easily compared across all states with one click, and are also exportable to Excel.
