Beginning October 16, 2015, Missouri exempts sales of items used to treat, clean, and sanitize textiles by commercial and industrial laundries. To use the exemption, a laundry business must process at least 500 pounds of textiles per hour and at least 60,000 pounds per week. This exemption applies to all materials, manufactured goods, machinery and parts, energy, chemicals, soaps, detergents, cleaning and sanitizing agents, and other ingredients and materials inserted by the laundry to treat, clean, and sanitize textiles.
