South Dakota to Stop Taxing Internet Access

Starting July 1, 2020, internet access will no longer be subject to South Dakota state and local sales tax. This is because a federal law will prevent all state and local governments from taxing internet access after June 30, 2020. Internet access is "a service that enables the user to connect to the internet to access content, information, or other services offered over the internet."
