Arizona voters approved Proposition 126, which amends the Arizona Constitution. The amendment prohibits state and local governments from enacting new taxes on services or increasing tax rates on currently taxed services performed in Arizona.

Arizona only taxes designated services. These designated services include amusement, restaurant, prime contracting, transient lodging, job printing, telecommunications, utility, transporting, pipeline, and private car line services.

The approval of Proposition 126 means that Arizona may not make new services taxable. It does not affect taxes or rates that were in effect as of December 31, 2017.
