The United States Congress extended the moratorium on the Medical Device Excise Tax (MDET) for another two years.

Congress created a two-year moratorium (or temporary halt) on the MDET beginning on January 1, 2016, and ending on December 31, 2017. Congress recently extended the moratorium to continue through 2018 and 2019.
