Ohio's tax amnesty program begins January 1, 2018 and will continue through February 15, 2018.

During this period, individuals and business may pay qualified back taxes without any penalties and with only half of the interest due. This program applies to several kinds of taxes, including individual income tax, sales tax, financial institution tax, and employer withholding tax.

Individuals and businesses are eligible to participate if (1) they have unpaid taxes that were due as of May 1, 2017, and (2) they have not been contacted by the Department of Taxation.
