New Hampshire has announced that beginning November 1, 2017, Airbnb will file monthly returns and collect and remit the New Hampshire Meals and Rooms Tax for rooms booked through Airbnb.

Currently, Airbnb hosts must register and get a license for Meals and Rooms Tax. Hosts must file monthly returns and collect and remit the tax to the Department of Revenue for rooms booked through Airbnb.

For rooms booked after November 1, 2017, Airbnb will be responsible for collecting and paying the Meals and Rooms Tax for rooms booked through Airbnb. Hosts will still have to collect and pay the Meals and Rooms Tax for rooms booked through any means other than Airbnb.
