Various Services May Become Taxable in Kentucky

The Kentucky legislature recently passed House Bill 366. If the governor signs the bill, various services will become taxable on July 1, 2018.

The bill would make the following services taxable: (1) landscaping services, (2) janitorial services, (3) small animal veterinary services, (4) pet care services, (5) industrial laundry services, (6) non-coin-operated laundry and dry cleaning services, (7) indoor skin tanning services, (8) non-medical diet and weight reducing services, (9) limousine services if a driver is provided, and (10) extended warranty services.

Additionally, Kentucky would tax admissions to (1) bowling centers, (2) skating rinks, (3) health spas, (4) swimming pools, (5) tennis courts, (6) weight training facilities, (7) fitness and recreational sports centers, and (8) golf courses. Services May Become Taxable in Kentucky
