Cloud Software No Longer Taxable in Indiana

May 17th, 2018

Effective July 1, 2018, cloud software will no longer be taxable in Indiana.

Indiana taxes the sale, lease, rental, or license of prewritten computer software including prewritten software delivered electronically. This currently includes remotely accessed (or cloud) software.

Beginning July 1, 2018, Indiana will no longer tax transactions in which the end user purchases, rents, leases, or licenses the right to remotely access prewritten computer software over the internet or through wireless media.
